With the rapid social and technological development bringing forth massive changes to our everyday lives, businesses must adapt from their pre-internet tactics of marketing. While print media still has a tangible value to most, the lean-in nature of the internet produces a different mindset in its users. Nowadays, people want to learn and be entertained. The passive nature of standard television bores them, and more time is spent online in social media interactions. As businesses transition to the connected world, often times they are burned by tech-heavy implementation and poor user design. A transition in the design community must occur to fit the needs of businesses by partnering with tech companies to create effective strategies.
